Warranty (xenon lamps)
You get a warranty that will meet or exceed the projector manufacturer warranty. Life – Brightness – Flicker.
We warranty against any factory defect for one year or warranted lamp life.
We keep it simple and fair.
It is prorated over time and use under normal operating conditions
It is a guarantee of workmanship and performance
We need the defective product returned promptly for testing and forensic analysis – or no warranty consideration
You will get a prompt replacement or prorated credit depending on length in service and/or nature of failure.
We use a simple formula for warranty:
(Warranted Lamp Life hours – Operated Hours / Warranted Lamp Life hours ) x Lamp Price = (credit)
Failure within the first 200 hours warrants direct replacement. Warranty Duration – for warranted life of lamp or one year, whichever comes first.
Life & Brightness
The lamp is warranted and judged at Life-End when one of the 3 things occurs:
1. The lamp becomes inoperable within the rated lamp life.
2.
The lamp reaches 50% of its rated brightness prior to rated life.
3. The lamp explodes or loses seal.
Flicker
We will warranty the Yumex lamps against excessive flicker (>5%). Broadcast lamps have a tighter warranty specification for flicker. Call for details.
